In juli hangen de breed uitgroeiende takken vol met bessentrosjes. De zwarte aalbes is erg geschikt om in een border te plaatsen en laat zij zich heel eenvoudig combineren met andere eetbare planten maar ook borderpakketten, haagplanten of bloeiende klimplanten. Ribes nigrum  kopen & combineren

Veel fruitstruiken geven naast vruchten ook kleur en body aan uw tuin. Zo ook deze zwarte aalbes. Ze laten zich heel eenvoudig combineren met de kant-en-klare borderpakketten. Ribes nigrum  snoeien

De zwarte aalbes 'Ribes Nigrum' draagt na een goede snoeibeurt meer bessen. De zwarte aalbessen groeien aan de eenjarige twijgen. Daarom mogen er elk jaar een aantal takken teruggesnoeid worden. Zorg ervoor dat u minstens 10 a 15 stelen overhoudt. Snoei de plant tijdens of na de oogst, zo krijgen de nieuwe scheuten goed de kans zich te ontwikkelen. Tip; houdt de struik compact zo richt de energie zich op de bessen ipv van op 'loze' takken.

Ribes nigrum planten, verzorging & standplaats

Bessenstruiken kunnen heel het jaar door geplant worden mits het niet vriest. Snoei de struik na het planten 1/3 terug. De zwarte aalbes gedijt het beste op een halfzonnige of zonnige standplaats. Wat grondsoort betreft is deze struik niet erg kieskeurig. Zorg dat de bodem voldoende gevoed is en daarnaast ook luchtig en vochtig. Is uw tuingelegen op grove zandgrond of vette klei, maak dan gebruik van de DCM bodemverbeteraarproducten. Om de plant optimaal te laten wortelen meng het pootgat aan met aanplantgrond, dit bevat extra voedingstoffen want de plant een boost zal geven. In de maanden maart en april is het wijsheid de struiken organische koemest te geven aan de voet van de struik.

Ribes nigrum  werking

De zwarte aalbes wordt vaak verwerkt in voedingsupplementen. De bessen hebben een hoog vitamine C gehalte en zouden een ontstekingsremmende vermogen hebben.

Finally Found a Pillow Worth Keeping

A bit expensive

Waited to give a review on this one because I needed several nights before I had any idea if it was as good as everyone says. I've had a real problem finding pillows lately. Either they're too soft to provide support and I wake up with a stiff neck or they're too sturdy and I wake up with a stiff neck. Contour pillows have worked best for me, but they fall under the category of too sturdy. I also toss and turn too much at night, which means I always end up in an awkward position with contour pillows. So I took a chance on an obscenely expensive pillow, and yes, that is the reason for one less star. I'd happily pay $70 for a pillow I thought was amazing and comfortable and perfect, but this one wasn't quite it. It IS comfortable. I have slept on it for a month now without it making my neck stiff, so it does actually provide a good balance between soft and sturdy. They make it easy to stuff the pillow to your preferred fluffiness and even provide extra stuffing if you need it, which adds to the degree of comfort. While the pillow does provide good neck support, I toss and turn a bit trying to find a comfortable position when I first try to sleep. The stuffing within the pillow moves around at night, most notably shifting to the side and the pillow is notably flatter now than when I first purchased it. You can fluff it out, similarly to a down pillow, but it doesn't seem to retain its shape on its own. In some ways, that's good because what it does instead is try to retain a shape that fits you. So yes, this is a really good pillow. One of the better ones you can buy. But it's really expensive for a pillow.
