Scarabee

Symbool van vernieuwing en wedergeboorte, later ook van de lijdzaamheid van de mens. Het symbool van de god Kephera was waarschijnlijk bij de Egyptenaren de meest geliefde talisman, de Scarabee wordt gezien als het symbool van wederopstanding en onsterfelijkheid vanwege de vergelijking met de dagelijkse opkomende zon.

Het symbool is ontleed aan een in Egypte veel voorkomende kever, die haar eitjes in een balletje mest legt. Doordat de kever deze bal voor zich uit rolt werd deze beweging vergeleken met de zon in zijn omloop langs de hemel (in de verbeelding van het volk rolde de god der schepping de zon op de zelfde wijze langs de hemel als de kever de mest bal over de grond). Het begraven van de bal was symbolisch de ondergang van de zon, waaruit met elke zonsopgang nieuw leven voortkomt. Omdat de bal levende kiemen bevatte, die zich in de hitte ontwikkelden tot kevers, werd ook het symbool van de vruchtbaarheid en scheppingskracht.

Amazoniet

Very classy looking! Perfect height and length for TKL keyboards!
This wrist rest is the perfect height and length for my TKL keyboards! The wood is soft and smooth. It looks VERY classy compared to some of the wrist rests I've used in the past. The non-slip pads work great too. The only thing I could find that was wrong is that the logo is upside down. It's not visible though because it's the edge that meets the keyboard so it's never seen. I find it endearing actually! Everything else is perfect, so I'd definitely recommend!

Classy look, but finish issue
This walnut wrist rest looks great on the desk—simple, solid, and much nicer than foam or gel options. It has a clean, polished style that pairs well with a keyboard, and the non-slip base keeps it from sliding around. I wasn’t sure how I would like it compared to the soft cushy pad I used before, but it’s actually been pretty comfortable. Classy, Comfortable, and Built to Last!
I’ve never tried a wooden wrist rest before, but after going through a few padded ones (even some expensive name-brand versions) that eventually peeled or fell apart, I figured this was worth a shot. And I’m so glad I did! This walnut wrist rest is smooth, beautifully made, and looks amazing on my desk. I have a whitewashed office setup, but this piece looks so good that I half-joked about wanting to change my desk to match it! It adds a very clean, grown-up aesthetic to the space. One thing I really appreciated is that it comes in several sizes to suit different setups. I ordered the largest available, and while it’s just a couple inches shy of covering the full length of my keyboard, it still works perfectly. It has non-slip grips on the bottom that keep it in place, and even though it’s made of solid wood, it’s surprisingly comfortable and ergonomic to type with. It’s also super low-maintenance—just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. For the $26–$29 price range, I think it’s a fantastic value and honestly better than some of the big-name options I’ve tried. This is a quality piece I expect to hold up for a long time, and I’m really happy with it!!

Check the height of your keyboard before ordering
This is a beautifully made, elegant looking wrist rest. The finish is satin perfectly smooth to the touch. As keyboards vary in height, be sure to measure he height of the front edge of yours before ordering—I didn’t (which is entirely my fault) and found that this wrist rest is just a wee bit too tall, which positioned my wrists a tad higher than I’m used to. Another factor you may want to consider are the ergonomics of solid wood versus other materials and your personal preferences (e.g., I tend to prefer cloth covered gel, because he cloth keeps my wrists from sticking and the gel is cushioning). My closing thought: this wrist rest is that it is by far the best looking of any wrist rest I’ve ever seen.
