De TTE440 is een high-performance turboupgrade van TheTurboEngineers, ontworpen voor de Audi S3 8L, TT 8N, en andere voertuigen met de 1.8T 20V-motor. Gebaseerd op een sterk gemodificeerde BorgWarner K04-064-turbo van het 2.0 TFSI-platform, combineert deze upgrade de kracht van moderne TFSI-technologie met de beproefde 1.8T-engine — voor een vermogen tot 440 pk, afhankelijk van brandstof en setup.

De TTE440 begint als een nieuwe originele BorgWarner K04-064 die volledig wordt herwerkt door TTE. De standaard compressor wordt vervangen door een grote billet 2871X-compressor met next-gen geometrie voor een enorme luchtstroom en verbeterde efficiëntie. De turbinezijde is voorzien van een 9-bladige TTE High-Flow low-mass turbine, die zorgt voor lagere tegendruk, koelere uitlaattemperaturen en een hogere vermogensopbouw dan standaard K04- of afgekorte wielvarianten.

Het 360° TTE motorsport-lagersysteem biedt maximale duurzaamheid bij hoge belasting zonder verlies van snelle spool. De turbo wordt geleverd met een versterkte actuator met veerdruk, versterkte klemmen en een OEM Pierburg N75-klep voor betrouwbare boostregeling. Bovendien bevat de set CNC-bewerkte onderdelen die de montage op het 1.8T-platform mogelijk maken, waaronder een geoptimaliseerd spruitstuk en aangepaste hardware.

Elke turbo wordt individueel uitgebalanceerd met VSR high-speed balancing tot 250.000 tpm en geleverd met een officieel balans testresultaatdocument.

Let op: De TTE440 vereist aanpassing of aangepaste onderdelen voor correcte montage — het is niet Plug & Play.

It shows the level of thoroughness the authors took to allow readers to delve deeper into topics discussed in each chapter.
