Deze rode wijn is gemaakt van de druif Marzemino, iets wat je niet vaak meer ziet. Eigenlijk wel jammer want de druif heeft hele mooie eigenschappen en groeit voornamelijk rond het Gardameer in Italië. Ook de oude ranken van Costaripa staan in dit gebied namelijk Lombardia. Hoewel de regio meer bekend staat om de witte wijn en mousserende wijn mogen we ons gelukkig stellen dat we een rode variant hebben ontdekt. De oude wijngaard die al tientallen jaren goed presteert geeft volle en krachtige trossen van de Marzemino druif. Deze kunnen het erg goed vinden in het warme klimaat, maar krijgen ook voldoende koelte van de wind die afkomstig van het Gardameer. Hierdoor is het groeiseizoen lang en rustig en kunnen de druiven helemaal ontwikkelen.Volledige handmatige oogst voor deze Costaripa Mazane
In begin September zet Costaripa de oogst in voor de rode Marzemino druif. Alles wordt met de hand binnen gehaald en tros voor tros geselecteerd om alleen de beste trossen over te houden. In kleine kratjes worden ze naar de pers van Costaripa gebracht waar ze een korte en langzame persing krijgen. Het donkere sap is van fenomenale kwaliteit en de wijnmaker spreekt over een soort "Barolo" van Lombardia. Ja dat vinden wij ook en hierdoor hoeft het sap niet op houten fusten te worden gerijpt. De wijn is gewoon weg zo het allermooiste.Hoe smaakt de Costaripa Mazane
Bij het inschenken van de wijn zie je direct de donkere rode kleur en geeft hij al direct prachtige geuren. Wij noteerden indrukken van aardbeien en amarena kersen, een licht pepertje en wat rijpe pruimen. De smaak is zacht en verfijnd te noemen met een prachtige harmonieuze stijl. Hinten van zwart fruit, lichte kruiden, wat aardbeien, pruimen en chocolade. Achter op de tong geeft deze Costaripa Mazane ook nog nuances als cacao, kaneel en andere zoetige kruiden. Pracht wijn en drink hem eventueel lichtjes gekoeld want dat mag bij deze rode wijn!Shipping Notes

It's A Whistler!

This Chuckit! Whistler Ball is basically a regular fetch toy that decided to become an annoying little teakettle mid-air. My dog goes absolutely nuts for it—every throw sounds like a tiny referee is shrieking "foul!" the whole way across the yard. He chases it harder than he chases the mailman, and bonus: I can actually find it in tall grass because it's screaming for help. Super bouncy, tough enough that he hasn't destroyed it yet (miracle), and now our walks sound like a low-budget horror movie.

Our perfect chew toy for a relentless chewer!

We have looked high and low for a ball that our Australian Shepherd couldn't destroy. Read on to find out why we are sticking with this one.
We've used other Chuckit! products in the past to mixed degrees of success. We absolutely love the ring fetch toy, though the dog can destroy those rings in a couple days. We tried other "nearly indestructible" balls only to have to throw them away within a couple days because our dog had destroyed them and left small pieces around the house for the baby to find.
We have been COMPLETELY satisfied by these balls. They fit with the Chuckit! stick, which is a great bonus, but the most important thing is the dog hasn't been able to get pieces torn out of them. His orange one is his "indoor toy" and he's been going to town on it for weeks without any indication of wear. We periodically inspect it and are always floored to see that it's generally in the same condition as when we gave it to him.
The orange color did fade a little when he left it outside for a few days in the sun, but considering how well it works otherwise, this didn't concern us at all.
The "whistling" aspect of this ball is... well, an interesting gimmick but I wouldn't buy it if that's what you're interested in. Sometimes it makes noise in flight, other times it doesn't. We don't care. He chews it until he's tired of it (which is usually hours) and it squeaks and squorks on his teeth which keeps him happy as a clam.
We honestly didn't think we'd find a ball that could keep up with his chewing, but this one has been phenomenal. We cannot recommend it enough!

So Far So Good
I adopted a young adult dog less than 2 weeks ago. She had spent over 12 hours a day in a crate and has excessive energy and anxiety built up. She is a strong chewer. So far, out of 6 toys, this is the only one still in one piece. It appears sturdy and extra bouncy. So much better than regular tennis balls.
