Plantkenmerken

De Syringa (V) 'James Macfarlane' is een vrij klein blijvende struik, dus zowel geschikt voor een kleine als grote tuin. De soort groeit opgaand waardoor hij een mooi silhouet geeft. De struik kan betreft lichtbehoefte zowel op een zonnige als halfschaduwplek geplant worden. Hij is uitstekend winterhard en kan niet in de verharding geplant worden.
