Explore the captivating artistry of Laurent Reypens in 'In Slow Motion'. This stunning art book showcases Reypens' unique exploration of a single object—the Royal Boch white glass bowl. With an ISBN of 9788857237824, published by Skira Editore S.p.A in 2018, this brand new edition delves into the infinite formal combinations of the bowl, elegantly transcending its mundane functionality. In Reypens' innovative paintings, the bowl transforms into a sensuous concave semisphere, artfully positioned to capture and reflect light, creating striking interplay between volume and shadow. Each canvas presents a fresh narrative, where the simplicity of the bowl invites profound contemplation on light and color in modern art. 'In Slow Motion' is not just an art book; it’s a visual journey through symmetry and spatial exploration, where Reypens masterfully reiterates the bowl's identity while challenging traditional limits of representation. Perfect for art enthusiasts and collectors, this book elevates the everyday object into a mesmerizing focal point of artistic expression. Immerse yourself in Reypens' realm of creativity, and witness how he intertwines functional art with the evocative dimensions of modern visual culture. Order your copy today to explore the delicate balance between form and function, showcased brilliantly through Reypens' lens!

Perfect holiday gift for the Simpsons fan in your life!
Format: Paperback
This slim little volume features everything you'd ever want to know about one of your favorite Simpsons characters, Homer. The book opens with a timeline reviewing all the significant milestones in Homer's life, from his childhood antics with friend Barney to many of the family trials which have been chronicled on the show. The various "Homer's Haunts" sections describe in detail some of Homer's most-visited sites, including the nuclear power plant and (of course) Mo's. Also featured are significant people in Homer's life, from his workplace friends and enemies to the people who have almost ruined his marriage (eg, Jacques, Mindy). You'll also get a review of his many, many jobs as well as countless food-related references (including "Things That Sound Like Food but Aren't"). Finally, the book begins and ends with Homer's Top 40 and his Bottom 40, respectively. A great stocking stuffer for any die-hard Simpsons fan!
