Dive into an authoritative exploration of the rise of ISIS with Fawaz Gerges' illuminating work, 'ISIS: A History.' This essential book, published by Princeton University Press, sheds light on the multifaceted origins of the Islamic State, detailing the intertwined factors of decades of dictatorship, rampant poverty, and escalating sectarianism in the Middle East. Gerges, a leading expert on political Islam and jihadism, goes beyond sensationalist journalistic narratives to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of how foreign intervention has shaped the landscape of violence and unrest. By analyzing the complex conditions that fostered the emergence of ISIS, this groundbreaking history offers insights into why tackling these underlying issues is crucial for the region's future. Perfect for scholars, policymakers, and anyone interested in Middle Eastern studies, 'ISIS: A History' is not just about the group's brutal tactics but also a call to confront the deeper social turmoil and political violence affecting the Arab-Islamic world. This trade paperback, with an ISBN of 9780691170008 and published in 2016, is a must-have resource that will enrich your understanding of one of the most pressing conflicts of our time.Shipping Notes

The Berkley Flex
Size: 7, Color: Cognac Multi
Very nice shoes, very comfortable, very nice leather. When ordering though, they fit a half size smaller than your size, because they are a tight-fitting shoe.

Better quality than most women’s shoes
Size: 7, Color: Black
I’m a woman and bought these for style and comfort after trying on too many others of multiple price points. These fit well and conformed to my feet after a single wear. Men’s clothes and shoes are so often of better quality.

Well made shoes.
Size: 11.5, Color: Black
Four stars because of the weight. Too heavy for my complete comfort. Also I have a narrow foot (C width) and these are too wide for me. Heavy socks make them wearable but not as comfortable as I would have liked.
