Are you looking for a fun, creative and technology free activity for your kids?

Then have them enrol in an Art and About School holiday Drawing Class. The focus of this workshop is drawing a portrait from a photograph. Choose to draw a self portrait or a portrait of a famous favourite singer, movie star,character. 

Creating shadows and light using a pencil and eraser only. Learn how to use drawing tools to carefully create soft tonal layers to achieve detail and depth.

 Perfect for all skill levels!  Workshops are led by Christina, a registered teacher and visual artist with over 25 years of experience.

Experience level: Beginner. Ages 8– 16

They will receive:

• one-on-one guidance in a small class of no more than 6
• learn how to draw a realistic portrait
• All the art materials to create their masterpiece

Where are the Holiday Workshops Held?

Sessions are held in the Art and About studio at Indooroopilly, a small art studio set in a beautiful garden. Classes are limited to 6 which means more individualised instruction therefore it's good to book ahead

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30-11:30am and 1-3pm

Cost

includes lesson from a qualified and experienced Visual Art teacher,  drawing equipment

Workshop Duration (2hrs) 

As classes are step-by-step please arrive on time. Aprons are provided but it is recommended for your child to wear an old 'get dirty' t-shirt or outfit to be on the safe side. 

Payment is due upon booking. Cancellations or non-attendance can be rescheduled within 2 weeks.
