This Limited Edition American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster celebrates its timeless design with period correct bodies and hardware, but takes exciting creative liberties in this Fender Special Run release.
A contoured premium alder body is finished in a vibrant Fiesta Red nitro, a beloved color amongst many. A stunning AAA flame maple neck is screwed onto the double cutaway body with 4-bolts. Topped with a slab rosewood fingerboard and vintage clay position markers, the already comfortable authentic 1961 "C" neck profile is modified with a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and a satin finish on the back of the neck for increased speed.
Under the period correct 3-ply mint pickguard and never before seen on a stock AVII model, a set of Fender Custom Shop Pure Vintage '61 single-coil Strat pickups amplifier the voice of this instrument. These Alnico V pickups are wax-potted to preserve their tonal integrity and use period correct materials to replicate authentic vintage Stratocaster tones. You'll find your traditional wiring setup on this AVII with 2 tones, master volume, and a 5-way selector switch.
The pure vintage synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles gives expressive control over pitch while the bone nut and "Fender Deluxe" tuning machines help ensure solid tuning stability. Complete with aged white plastics, chrome bridge cover, and a vintage style tweed hard shell case, this American Vintage II Stratocaster is a players dream.
