New Stairrods Ali Wrap Nosing Overlap. The Ali Wrap Nosing use a base material of aluminium for a high quality installation.  The Ali Wrap Nosing is available for WPC 8mm and WPC/SPC 6.5mm Overlap (for the top step allowing expansion). Pre-Drilled and countersunk at 100mm/ 4” centres and supplied with Spax-M self-drilling screws (Do not pre drill). Requires a T20 star bit. 

Stairrods Ali Wrap Nosing Fits to existing bullnose (overhang) tread without squaring off the nosing or building out the riser. Suitable for returns (mitres). Designed for 55/64” - 63/64” tread thickness. Use Stycco Flex adhesive or similar. Supplied with pre-attached adhesive tape for the LVT inlay. Install flooring into the recess by peeling off the top layer. May require heat.

Choice of standard finishes: Ali Brass, Ali Antique, Ali Chrome & Ali Black Choice of length: 90cm (36") and 180 (71"). Choice of profile: 5mm, 6.5mm, and 8mm

I think the ease of grinding will depend on how tightly or loosely you adjust the dial; at its tightest, I couldn't twist it at all, but loosening it allowed me to use it easily and it still gave me a fine grind. Highly recommend it... can't beat the value!
