Management Action Projects Overview

Projects Overview

Management Action Projects (MAPs) are projects aimed at addressing specific Beneficial Use Impairments (BUIs), improving conditions in the AOC.

MAP lists were developed based on assessing conditions and evaluating BUI status. Many partners collaborated to identify, plan for, and implement these projects.

Almost all MAPs fall into 1 of 3 types, depending on the BUIs addressed:

• WildMAPs – improve wildlife habitat
• AquaMAPs – improve aquatic conditions for fish and benthos
• Sediment MAPs – improve or remove contaminated sediment for overall ecosystem health
