Save the Date!

We are excited to announce that Toledo, Ohio, is the location for the 2025 Great Lakes Areas of Concern Conference! This important conference, co-hosted by the Ohio Lake Erie Commission and U.S. EPA, will take place from September 16-18, 2025. The Ohio AOC Program is excited to welcome AOC partners and colleagues from across the Great Lakes Basin to the Maumee AOC!

This year’s conference promises to bring together over 325 attendees, including government officials, AOC committee members, and experts from across the region. Together, we’ll collaborate, share insights, and discuss the critical issues facing the Great Lakes Areas of Concern.

The conference will feature two and a half days of engaging activities, including optional field trips, plenary sessions, breakout discussions, and optional social events. It will be an excellent opportunity for networking, learning, and discovering new ways to enhance the health and sustainability of the Great Lakes. Partners for Clean Streams (PCS) will be handling local planning and logistics, and the planning committee is already hard at work, with exciting initiatives underway—such as the upcoming conference website (launching in early 2025!).

The sponsorship packet is now available to help your organization with budgeting and sponsorship decisions as to how you want to support this exciting national conference. By supporting, you are showing your commitment to the restoration of the Areas of Concern and the hardworking individuals dedicated to protecting our shared Great Lakes water resources. Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this vital effort!
